This American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA BLS) Provider course is a video-based, Instructor-led course, that teaches both single-rescuer and team, basic life support skills for application in both in-facility and prehospital settings. This course is for renewing, re-certifying, or initial students. This full BLS Provider Course takes approximately 3 hours and 40 minutes to complete, including skills practice and skills testing. The class emphasizes on high-quality CPR, improvement of chest compression fraction, and high-performing team dynamics. It is video-based course information with real world scenarios that teaches basic life support skills for application in both in-facility and pre-hospital settings. Once completed each student will receive a BLS Provider Course Completion Card, valid for two years. Who Should Take This Course? This course is for healthcare providers such as physicians, nurses, paramedics, emergency medical technicians, respiratory therapists, physical and occupational therapists, physician’s assistants, residents or fellows, aides, medical or nursing assistants, police officers, and other allied health personnel. Medical or nursing students in training may also require BLS certification.
